Once your research about traveling to Croatia has started, you have probably come across numerous recommendations and admiring pictures of Hvar Island. Known for its rich peculiarity and mixture of traditions, Hvar Island boasts with pure nature, inheritance and, extensive vineyard and lavender fields. Since Hvar is declared as the sunniest island in Europe, visiting hidden bays and deserted lagoons become even more attractive. Ensure yourself a day off and unique experience, visiting most of the Adriatic gems. Starting earlier in the morning, get yourself relaxed in a comfortable panoramic speedboat ride before we reach our first spot, the Hvar town. This ancient stone beauty with cobblestone white-washed alleyways and majestic architecture will leave you speechless. The main square and promenade are always vibrant and jam-packed, but if you are willing to take a few steps away up the worn stairways, there is a whole different part of the town. Get lost through colorful narrow streets to feel its charm. Do not miss out on the visit of St. Stephen’s Cathedral and its square, Franciscan Monastery, Venetian loggia and the unbroken view from Spanjola Fortress. The views looking down over Hvar and the Pakleni Islands are stunning and well worth climbing up through the old-town streets. Chains of the islands you have seen from the heights, you will be witnessing afterward. Leaving the port of Hvar and having an easy 15 minutes speedboat ride, we will reach uninhabited archipelago of Hvar’s coast, a mecca for nature lovers. With its deserted lagoons, shallow turquoise water, and untouched nature of pine woods, it is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Adriatic sea. One of the bays we are going to visit is Palmižana, situated on St. Klement Island. Feel the healing energy nature provides you, soaking up the sun and swimming in the crystal clear sea, before we head back home.
