BOOK NOW

Two ancient towns that complement each other perfectly with their historical treasures are combined for this unique day tour. Šibenik and Zadar were part of a great and turbulent history over the centuries. Nowadays, they present cultural and urban centers that offer not only historical but modern sites as well. Starting the journey from Split and Trogir, our first stop will be the majestic town of Zadar. It has dramatically changed over the centuries, but still kept rich material and spiritual culture. Passing through the finest monument of the Renaissance in Dalmatia – land gates, the walking tour starts. While listening to the stories from three thousand years ago, check for admiring street Kalelarga, which is even older than the city itself. Today, it represents a cult place, and one of the strongest pieces of evidence to the claim that Zadar is one of the most beautiful cities along the coast. At the end of Kalelarga Street, there is a symbol of the city - an unusual circular Byzantine-style church of St Donatus. Admire this most valuable monument, and listen carefully to the story of its origin. Right after the guided tour finishes, we will head back to Šibenik town and its surroundings. Just a few kilometers before the old town, a family-owned boutique winery that offers authentic Debit and Merlot wine sorts, is situated. Taste its finest wines, paired well with local-made cheese and olive oil. After the presentation, another Adriatic jewel will be waiting for us to explore it - well preserved Old Town of Šibenik. It boasts with the unique architecture of St James Cathedral, which is considered one of the most valuable monuments in Croatia. Before we head back home, take a walk through its narrow streets, and check for hidden ancient treasures that made this town remarkable.
